Who we are
Attendance Allowance Check is a trading name of Virix Ltd, a private company registered in England and Wales (company number 16325097). Registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF. You can look us up on Companies House.
We are not the DWP, Social Security Scotland or any part of government, and we are not a charity. The benefit itself is free to claim, and free help exists — see what it costs and what it is worth.
What we do
We help people aged 66 and over, and their families, claim Attendance Allowance (in Scotland, Pension Age Disability Payment). We fill the claim form in with you over the telephone, in your own words, print it at our cost and post it to you. You read it, sign it and send it yourself — it stays your claim, and we never send anything to the DWP on your behalf. We never ask for bank details, card numbers or passwords on a call.

Every guide on this site is written and checked by our team against the official pages on GOV.UK and mygov.scot, and each one shows the date it was last reviewed. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

Living in Scotland? Attendance Allowance has been replaced there by Pension Age Disability Payment, paid by Social Security Scotland. It is the same idea with a different form, and we help with that one too.
