Attendance Allowance Check is run by Virix Labs (“we”). We are a private company. We are not the Department for Work and Pensions and we are not connected to any government body.
Because you asked us to ring you and gave your consent on the form, and because the information is then needed to carry out the service you are paying for. You can withdraw consent at any time and we stop.
We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to anyone for marketing. The only people who see them are those working on your claim. The claim itself is sent to the DWP by you, not by us — you sign it and you post it.
We ring only people who have asked to be rung, between 9am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday. Part of the call is handled by an automated system that asks the questions and writes down the answers; a person checks what it wrote before anything is used. Tell us at any point that you would rather not continue and we stop and delete the recording.
Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@attendanceallowancecheck.co.uk and we will answer within a month. If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
You never have to pay anyone to make this claim. The DWP claim line is 0800 731 0122, and Age UK and Citizens Advice help with the form free of charge. We charge £349 to do the work for you, payable after the call, refunded in full if the claim is refused.
